Daniel Baron has never been one to shy away from baring his soul through his music. Last year’s heart-wrenching hit ‘One More Goodbye’ brought many to tears as he gave a candid account of a difficult break-up. The ballad reached number 1 on radio charts in August 2018, which became his 6th song to top the charts since 2013. Now, the award-winning singer/songwriter emerges stronger than ever with a new love-flame on the horizon. ‘Speed Of Light’ again reveals the inner workings of Baron’s heart, as he describes the transcendental moment when two souls collide and fall in love. “I met a girl. She changed my life. So I wrote this song. Hope you like it.” Says Daniel. “Love exists, and I want to celebrate the beauty of it, plus there’s no better way than to do it during the month of love.” With a golden string of chart-topping hits and a successful music career spanning nearly a decade, theself-taught singer-songwriter-producer is no doubt one of the most consistent and daring workhorses in his craft. In 2016 People Magazine referred to him as “One of South Africa’s greatest pop-stars”, following the success of his dance-floor smash hit ‘Children of The Sun’, which was one of the biggest SA dance songs in that year, also receiving airplay throughout Africa and Europe. Daniel, who opened for Bon Jovi at FNB Stadium in 2013, has spent the majority of 2018 touring South Africa and writing/producing for a number of other artists.
